My New Novel

I’m so delighted to share the first information about my second novel. It’s called The Ends of the Earth in the UK and Anywhere for You in the US/Canada and it will be published in April 2021.

Two titles, one book! In case you’re wondering why, the markets in both countries are very different and the individual publishers are well placed to tell you what they believe will work best for their territory. I have to say - both titles play into the central question at the heart of the book brilliantly - just how far would you go for the love of your life?

Here’s the blurb:

Mary O’Connor has been keeping a vigil for her first love for the past seven years.

Every evening without fail, Mary arrives at Ealing Broadway station and sets herself up among the commuters. In her hands Mary holds a sign which bears the words: ‘Come Home Jim.’

Call her mad, call her a nuisance, call her a drain on society – Mary isn’t going anywhere.

That is, until an unexpected call turns her world on its head. In spite of all her efforts, Mary can no longer find the strength to hold herself together. She must finally face what happened all those years ago, and answer the question – where on earth is Jim?

And what do the covers look like? I hear you ask. Check out these beauties:

The UK cover is the one on the left. I love the yellow background, with the coral tones washed through it. The image is so haunting too. You’ll have to read the book, but they have Mary’s appearance and demeanour down to a tee too. And as for the US cover (right) - it is equally intriguing. This time, it’s the station setting that is front and setting. Doesn’t it take you back to nights on the Tube?

I hope you like the sound of this novel. I absolutely adored writing the characters and can’t wait to hear what readers make of them too.

If you would like to pre-order, then you can do so in the UK here, or in the US here.
